A “Hello World” program is often the first code written by someone learning a new programming language and simply displays the text “Hello World”.
Such a program is used to illustrate a language’s basic syntax and as a check to ensure that code is compiled and run correctly, and that the operator understands how to use the software.
An infant represents our innocent human nature, while the phrase “Hello World” represents machine. We are influenced by both nurture and technology from very early on. The piece aims to speak to the state of the world that a baby enters into and how technology is now our way of life.
